went on a "Big Trip West" to pick up a new hearse for Lee Laidlaw.

The super market's owner was Lester Greenstein.
The
building, now the Hurleyville Firemen's Park,
contained a produce market, a
grocery store, a butcher shop,
and six apartments.
A shoemaker shop was in a separate building.
There were eight garages, a chicken coop, a bungalow and a large
gazebo in the back of the main building.
This was the largest building
and and the largest commercial property in Hurleyville at that time.

The pharmacy was owned by "Mibby's" parents, Sylvia and Jacob "Jack" Bochner.
The Bochner family lived in Hurleyville from 1946-1956.
The building was later home to Freier's Luncheonette and izzy's aunt.
